DIY Sign Workshop
Twelve ladies attend the DIY night with Jill of Jill and Bean. Everyone had a lot of fun creating a unique sign and is looking forward to another event just like this one. A special thank you to Cheryl for the excellent menu she prepared for us.
Thanks to the generosity of many, Springbrook has purchased an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator). The AED is now in place in the clubhouse, just outside the business office. A demonstration and training video is available online at https://americanAED.com/dvd/onsite. For anyone interested in CPR instruction who missed classes in August, contact Steve Hanas to learn of class options.
Mah Jongg on Friday Morning
Arrive at 9:30AM at the Brook Bar and play Mah Jongg. All game supplies will be provided.
Please call 659-3187 on Fridays to confirm play will occur that day.
American mahjong is played with two - four players using tiles stamped with Chinese symbols. Mah Jongg mahjong utilizes racks to hold each player's tiles, jokers, and "Hands and Rules" score cards. The goal of the game is to be the first, by picking and discarding, to match one's tiles to a specific hand from the annually distributed scorecard published by the National Mah Jongg League. Learn something new on Fridays.
PIckleball on Tuesday Morning
Pickleball was played every Tuesday morning during the summer of 2019. It was open to all members, all ages, and all levels of ability. Paddles and balls were available for those who did not have their own equipment. The court is located by the pavilion and chipping green. We look forward to seeing you next summer.
Yoga for Golfers
The final day of yoga at Springbrook was Thursday August 29. Thanks to Betty McCullough and to all participants for being involved in this new activity for club members. We will offer yoga again next year if enough people are interested.
